Diploma in Electrical & Electronics Engineering

Electrical & Electronics Engineering

Electrical and Electronics Engineering concerns the science and technology related to generating, distributing and consuming electrical energy for the benefit of mankind. Our future responsibility is to achieve this in a safe, sustainable and cost effective way. Electrical Engineers develop, test and supervise the manufacture of Electrical equipment. Some of this equipment includes electric motors, machinery controls, lighting and wiring in building, radar and navigation systems, communication systems, power generation, control and transmission devices used by electric utilities.

The course is beneficial to equip them with adequate knowledge and skills in the field of electrical and electronics engineering to make them readily employable in industries. Engage them in research activities to become successful entrepreneurs. The course will prepare you to be a competent and a much sought-after technologist and give you the opportunities to participate in the creation of new and vital technologies which are antidotes to most problems in future. Candidates improve their knowledge and skill by pursuing higher studies in the field of advanced technology and meet the needs of the society.

Diploma in Electrical & Electronics Engineering is a course of 6 Semesters at duration of 3 years. In first two semesters one will study 6 subjects each including theory and practicals. In later course from 3rd to 6th, each semester includes 7 to 8 core subjects including practical.

In first year (1st and 2nd Semester) the students learn Basics of Electrical, Electrical Circuits, Science, Engineering Mathematics, English, Engineering Drawing and practical in C Programming, Applied Science, Electrical Circuits Lab and computer applications.

In 3rd Semester onwards they study the Analog & Digital Circuits, Electrical Power Generation, DC Machines and alternators, Transformers, Measurements and Instrumentation, Communication and Computer Networks, Power Electronics, Transmission, distribution and Utilization of power, Switch gear & protection, Estimation & Costing, Industrial drives & Control with practical’s like Circuit Simulation Lab, Analog & Digital lab, DC machines and Alternators lab, Computer Aided Electrical drafting, Power Electronics lab, Protective Relays & Servicing Lab, Motor Control & PLC lab with other relevant practicals..

Along with core subjects Professional Ethics & Industrial Management is included in curriculum to guide one how to behave and perform duties Ethically knowing all managerial skills in industry as well as society.

Without knowing actual industrial aspects and experience a Diploma program won’t be complete. So 52 hours of In-plant training is provided. And one has to do his own Project work so as to bring out his talents and enhance their qualities.
