Automobile engineering has gained recognisation and importance ever since motor vehicles capable for transporting passengers has been in vogue. Now due to rapid growth of auto component manufacturer and automobile industries there is a great demand for Automobile Engineers. Automobile engineering is one of the most challenging careers in the field of engineering with a wide scope.
This branch deals with designing, developing , manufacturing , testing ,repairing and servicing automobiles such as cars, trucks, motorcycles, scooters etc and the related sub engineering system. For the perfect blend of engineering and designing automobiles, Automobile engineering uses features of different element of engineering such as Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Software and Safety engineering. The major task of an Automobile Engineer is the designing, developing, manufacturing and testing of vehicles from concept stage to production stage.
Automotive engineers are involved in the design, manufacture, distribution, marketing, sales and after-sales care of cars (including racing cars), motorbikes and other commercial vehicles. Engineers will work on the aesthetics and technical performance of these vehicles and, increasingly, the electronics and software involved with modern vehicles.
